Alumni Breakfast Club with Alex Soriano | Collaboration between brands and sports events: Strategies to maximize return on investment

On Wednesday 29 May a new session of the Alumni Breakfast Club: Collaboration between brands and sports events: Strategies to maximize return on investment, will be held. The Breakfast Club is a quarterly meeting for small groups of graduate students.

Breakfast will take place from 9.00 to 10.00 a.m. in the Aula Jardí.

This meeting’s guest is Alex Soriano is the current Vice President of Global Sponsorships at Innovative Partnerships Group (IPG 360) in Spain, based in Barcelona. In this role, he leads the new commercial partnerships for FC Barcelona's Espai Barça project, among other strategic initiatives.

With a solid background in the industry, Alex brings 15 years of experience from Octagon, where he oversaw commercial sales and TV rights functions for various properties the agency worked with, especially in the areas of beach soccer, tennis, cycling, and football.

His last professional experience was at Kosmos. He landed at Gerard Piqué's company in 2018 to lead the commercial area of the Davis Cup. Over the years, still at Kosmos, he took on the commercial representation of influencer Ibai Llanos and then played a key role in the success and growth of the Kings League. During his time at Kosmos, Alex implemented a pioneering model of commercial alliances that merges sports and entertainment, excelling particularly in the naming rights segment, business development, and international marketing.
