Research Groups

UIC Barcelona currently has 24 research groups that have been recognised by the Generalitat de Catalunya in the SGR- Cat 2021 call. The aim of this call is to support research groups undertaking research in Catalonia in the different scientific areas with the aim of boosting their activity and scientific, economic and social impact, as well as
promoting the international impact of the research.

Of the 24 research groups, there are 7 emerging groups and 17 consolidated groups. Three of these groups have also received a favourable evaluation for funding. The recognised research groups at
