Book launch for Hitchcock: Anatomía del Suspense. Espacios y lugares, by Alfons Puigarnau

UIC Barcelona School of Architecture Auditorium in the Delta Building (Carrer de Terré)

Next Monday 29 November at 12 p.m., the UIC Barcelona Auditorium in the Delta Building (Carrer de Terré) will host the book launch for Hitchcock: Anatomía del Suspense. Espacios y lugares (Hitchcock: The anatomy of suspense. Spaces and places), written by lecturer Alfons Puigarnau from the UIC Barcelona School of Architecture. The book has been published by the North American publishing house McGraw-Hill, and contains a series of hitherto unpublished texts that analyse architectural design strategies inspired by the filmography of British filmmaker and ‘master of suspense’, Alfred Hitchcock. Former UIC Barcelona School of Architecture students Ignacio Infiesta and Marcos Puig have also collaborated on the book.

In addition to the lecturer and the former students, José Enrique Ruiz-Doménec, lecturer of Medieval History at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB); Jaume Aurell, lecturer of Medieval History at the University of Navarra and president of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Thought at UIC Barcelona; Oriol Vaz-Romero Trueba, painter, set designer and Fine Arts lecturer at the University of Barcelona, and Pere Campanario, editor of McGraw Hill Education, will also attend the launch.

Following the event, audience members will be invited to enjoy a glass of cava with the authors during the book signing.
