What?

Online courses available in eight levels, from Pre-Elementary (A1) to Proficiency (C2). 

The course works in an online platform and you can do the exercises at your own pace. All you need is a computer and internet connection. Speech recognition is available in all units to practise and improve pronunciation and oral expression, and a variety of tools and functions to encourage learning. Who?

All members of the university community (students, PAS and PDI) and non-university members

How?

You have the option to register for either a full course (5 ECTS) or a partial course (2.5 ECTS).

  • Full course: 120 hours of study material (10 units), equal to one full level of language knowledge (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) under the CEFR.
  • Partial course: 60 hours of study material (5 units), equal to half a level of language knowledge under the CEFR.

Price

Full course:

  • UIC Barcelona students and external students €150
  • UIC Barcelona PAS and PDI: €125

Partial course:

  • UIC Barcelona students and external students €75
  • UIC Barcelona PAS and PDI: €62.50

Certification

Certificate of completion. To earn a certificate, you must successfully complete all online activities.

Recognition of credits

This course has a workload of 5 ECTS credits (full course) and 2.5 credits (partial course). If you are a UIC Barcelona undergraduate student, you can apply for 2 ECTS credit for a full course and 1 ECTS credit for a partial course. If you are an Erasmus student, you can include this course in your learning agreement. For mobility students, the number of credits recognised for this course will depend on the home university. To determine if you have the right level to enrol in the course, you must do the following:

  1. Take the level test.
  2. Please contact us at multiling@uic.cat and we will let you know your results.
  3. Once we confirm your level, you will be able to enrol in the appropriate course.
