GSK and UIC Barcelona create the Vaccine Classroom

This new cooperation between the University and the biopharmaceutical company reinforces their commitment to training, generation and transfer of knowledge regarding the role of vaccines in the health of society

The University Institute for Patient Care has advanced the University’s cooperation with the biopharmaceutical company GSK to launch the new Vaccine Classroom, which will promote activities focused on analysis, evaluation and generation of knowledge regarding the importance of vaccinations in public health.

Thus, UIC Barcelona and GSK have renewed their commitment of promoting academic initiatives of clinical and social relevance. Following the same line of action established last year for the Severe Asthma Classroom, the new Vaccine Classroom will conduct activities and sessions focused on training, generation and transfer of knowledge regarding the vaccines in the welfare and health of society and the importance of the preventive role vaccines play.

Promoted by the University Institute for Patients, the Classroom will schedule sessions open to patient associations, health professionals, epidemiologists, communication professionals and managers, whose input will allow a document with the agreed conclusions to be drafted. These conclusions will determine the programme for a session open to all health and social interest groups to be carried out throughout the academic year.
