The new IPD-UIC Barcelona Classroom in Digital Innovation is born

This collaboration strengthens the commitment of both entities to teaching and research in the field of dentistry, with the aim of developing novel solutions that contribute to the well-being of patients

UIC Barcelona and the leading company in the design, manufacture and distribution of attachments for dental implants, IPD (Dental Implant Prosthetics), have signed a collaboration agreement to create the IPD-UIC Barcelona Classroom in Digital Innovation, linked to the Faculty of Dentistry of the University.

As part of the agreement between both entities, activities will be conducted with an emphasis on dental restoration, aimed at students and teachers of the different master’s degrees offered by the Faculty of Dentistry. The most relevant aspects of promoting research in the dental field in the future will also be identified.

Three seminars will be held focusing on the changes that digitalisation involves in the work of dentists, how digitalisation has modified workflows, and the different restorative options that it offers. In addition, a theoretical-practical course will also be promoted that will allow participants to immerse themselves in the latest technologies and techniques in digital dentistry.

With the new IPD-UIC Barcelona Classroom in Digital Innovation, the Faculty of Dentistry already has two classrooms and seven company chairs, consolidating its commitment to the transfer of knowledge generated by the University to society in collaboration with leading companies in the dental sector.
