New campus UIC Barcelona: transforming campus into community

Universities can be a positive force for building the social fabric of their surrounding areas. The aim of this project is to develop an integrated campus and community model. Collaborative efforts with the city of Rubí and the city of Sant Quirze del Vallès have been carried out in order to propel a mixed-use community with multiple options for living, working, walking and experiencing nature, fully engaged with the surrounding neighbourhoods and their local heritage.
