Introduction
This subject is designed to achieve two main objectives: 1) to encourage future teachers to participate in listening, interpreting, and creating musical compositions so that they develop positive attitudes and experiences associated with the musical practice; and 2) to provide them with basic knowledge of music didactics so that they may reflect on the fundamental principles guiding primary school music education.
Objectives
Understand the role that music education plays in the development of students' social, psychological, and cultural skills.
Become familiar with the primary education curriculum in terms of music education. Engage actively in activities of listening, interpretation, and musical creation in order to discover, understand, and analyze basic elements of musical language.
Provide singing, instrumental practice, listening and dance as strategies for teaching listening, interpretation and musical creation to primary school students.
Integrate listening, interpretation, and musical creation activities as part of a broader work to strengthen disciplinary relationships.
Become aware of the need for collaboration between the generalist teacher and the music specialist
