Professional experience

The work generated during my scientific career has led to the publication of a total of 24 scientific papers in indexed high impact journals. The number of articles in the first quartile is 22. I am the first author of 9 of these papers. The total number of citations of my work is 292 and my h-index is 11. My research has been presented in 7 different international or national conferences in form of poster and oral presentations, from which I have presented 1 poster and 1 oral contribution. I am also the first author of 1 divulgation article. 1 patent submitted.
Experience
I have experience in various steps of the development of protein-based products.
- Rational design and molecular cloning of recombinant proteins
- Molecular modelling and visualization (AlphaFold, ChimeraX, PyMol, I-Tasser, Robbeta)
- Recombinant protein production using microbial cell factories (small scale, medium scale), with different bacterial strains.
- Recombinant protein purification (affinity chromatography, size exclusion chromatography, ion exchange chromatography)
- Protein-drug conjugation by different chemical techniques
- Biomaterials characterization (proteomic techniques (electrophoresis, western blot, quantification, circular dichroism), dynamic light scattering, zeta potential, fluorimetry, electron microscopy)
- Controlled oligomerization and aggreggation of proteins into nanoparticles and microparticles for nanotechnological ends.
- Functional characterization of therapeutic proteins in cell culture (mammalian cell culture (adherence and suspension), cell citometry, confocal microscopy, apoptosis evaluation, cell viability assays)
