Professional experience

I have always been interested in pursuing a career in research. During my PhD at the lab jointly led by Prof. Francesc Posas and Prof. Eulalia de Nadal in UPF/IRB Barcelona, I immersed myself in the world of transcriptomics, which captivated me. I strongly believe in-depth research is key to understanding the complex cellular processes behind devastating human diseases. For this reason, after completing my PhD, I moved to the United States as a postdoctoral fellow at Prof. Brian Dynlacht’s group (NYU), where I applied my expertise in chromatin biology to uncover new mechanisms of rhabdomyosarcoma gene regulation. During this period, I implemented multiple multi- omics approaches, which gave me the opportunity to work in both the experimental and computational aspects of cancer research. After two years, and while in the process of publishing the results of my research on rhabdomyosarcoma, I moved back to Barcelona for my second postdoc at the Josep Carreras Leukemia Research Institute to specialize in the bioinformatic analysis of chromatin, transcriptional, and 3D genome organization in leukemia. For my future career, I am determined to apply all my scientific knowledge in a research setting that helps to expand research and disease understanding to have a positive impact on human health.
