Education
María Victoria Farré has a Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (1999). She specialized in Geriatrics at the Fundació Hospital Asil de Granollers (2001-2005). She has carried out continuous training in various subjects, including international and national courses on geriatric medicine, dementia in geriatrics, neurorehabilitation of the person with degenerative disease, emergencies, life support and cardiology, among others.
Professional experience
María Victoria is a Consultant Geriatrician Medical Doctor of the suport team of Geriatrics and Orthogeriatrics at Hospital General de Granollers since 2017. She has been an Assistant Medical Doctor at the Convalescence Unit of the Fundació Hospital Asil de Granollers since 2008 and an Assistant Medical Doctor in the internal guards of the Geriatrics Service and tutor of internal resident doctors in the Geriatrics specialty of this center since 2007. Spanish delegate of the Geriatrics section of the European Society of Medical Specialties (GMS-UEMS) since 2013. Teaching member since 2021 and current treasurer of the Catalan Society of Geriatrics and Gerontology. Secretary of the Working Group for Geriatric Education in the Spanish Faculties of the Spanish Society of Geriatrics and Gerontology since 2018. Member of the Working Group (SIG) of "Medical Education in Geriatrics" of the European Geriatric Medicine Society (EuGMS) since 2018.
