Professional experience

A health professional since 2010, during my beginnings I combined my studies as a nursing assistant and oral hygienist to take my first steps in the world of work, with the firm goal of becoming a physiotherapist.

One of my most notable experiences was at the prestigious Hospital del Mar in Barcelona, considered one of the 50 best hospitals in Spain, where I specialized in neurology, a specialty that was recognized among the 10 best in Catalonia. This opportunity allowed me to gain a solid understanding of hospital processes and chronic diseases that affect admitted patients.

I graduated with a notable high grade in Physiotherapy at the "Blanquerna" Faculty of Health Sciences, belonging to the Ramon Llull University (URL). During my training, I began to practice as a physiotherapist at the same Hospital del Mar, where I recognized the importance of exercise as a fundamental pillar in therapy, leading me to complete a university master's degree at URL focused on "Therapeutic Physical Activity for People with Chronic Pathology, Aging or Disability".
Later, I joined the "Institut Català de la Salut", focusing on primary care and functional rehabilitation. To continue expanding my knowledge, I decided to study a master's degree in Orthopedic Manual Physiotherapy (OMPT) at the International University of Catalonia (UIC).

Scientific research and teaching are aspects that I am passionate about, which is why I enrolled in the UIC doctoral school and obtained a competitive EPIF scholarship. Currently, I am enjoying my initial experience as a teacher within the basic sciences department of the university. This facet allows me to combine my enthusiasm for physiotherapy and science with the transmission of knowledge to new generations of students, which I consider an enriching and rewarding experience.

My main areas of knowledge and professional development cover Clinical Physiotherapy, with a special focus on traumatology, and I also address more chronic topics, such as Rheumatology, Neurological, Oncology and Cardio-respiratory and scientific research of these lines of work.
