Catalan University Championships

The Catalan University Championships (CCU) are a competition that unites all the Catalan universities and are organised by Esport Català Universitari (ECU), with support from the Secretariat-General of Sport and the Government of Catalonia.

They include two competition categories: Team and individual sports.

Team sports:

The team competitions start in November and finish in March. They are divided into rounds, with the top teams advancing to the final stage. To take part in these championships, you must be a member of one of UIC Barcelona's official teams. The winning team will represent Catalonia at the Spanish University Championships (CEU).

Individual competitions:

You may also compete individually, provided that you fulfil the requirements laid down in the regulations and have the approval of the head of the Sports Service. Click here to see the sports schedule.

There is also the possibility that you may represent UIC Barcelona at the Spanish and European Championships (EUSA Games), depending on your results or times.

These championships may be an enriching experience on both an athletic and personal level. You will have the opportunity to compete against top-level athletes, meet university students with similar interests and proudly represent your university.

You will also receive ECTS for your involvement in these activities. To see the terms and conditions please visit the Sports Service.
