The Biomedicine Laboratory has a surface area of 340m2 and hosts research groups from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences’ Department of Basic Sciences and the Regenerative Medicine Research Institute.
It is fully appointed to ensure that research groups at UIC Barcelona can further develop their current lines of research.
The laboratory features a microscopy room equipped with a Leica DM IRB fluorescence microscope with a CCD DC350F camera and a NIKON Eclipse Ti semi-confocal microscope with an ANDOR Clara Interline CCD camera, as well as a BD FACSCalibur flow cytometer.
It also includes two culture rooms equipped with biosafety cabinets, Olympus inverted microscopes and all the equipment this type of facility requires.
The laboratory is also used for practicums by students from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and the Faculty of Dentistry on the Sant Cugat Campus.
