Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management

The admissions tests for the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management are designed to assess both the academic abilities and personal qualities of the candidates. The tests include:

  1. General Intelligence Test
    This test aims to evaluate the applicant’s cognitive abilities, such as logical and analytical reasoning. It focuses on measuring their capacity to solve problems effectively.
  2. English Test
    This test assesses the candidate’s level of oral and written comprehension and expression, as some of the programmes are taught in English. Level B1. Grammar test to choose the correct option.
  3. Personal Interview 
    The personal interview is a key part of the process, as it offers insight into each candidate’s motivation and professional profile. The interviewers will also assess interpersonal skills, as well as academic and career aspirations.

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture

The admissions tests for the Bachelor's Degree in Architecture are designed to assess academic skills, creative abilities, and personal motivations of the candidates. The tests include:

  1. Mathematics Test
    This test assesses mathematical abilities through multiple-choice questions on matrix algebra, derivatives, and equations. The level corresponds to the first year of Baccalaureate
  2. Drawing Test
    Candidates must create a freehand drawing on an A4 sheet, based on the description of a given image. 
  3. Personal Statement
    Candidates must write an essay in English explaining their reasons for wanting to study Architecture at UIC Barcelona, highlighting their interest in the field and their professional outlook.
  4. Personal Interview
    A brief online interview in English with one of our teachers. The aim of it is to understand the candidate's motivation and assess their interpersonal and academic skills.

Bachelor’s Degree in Bioengineering

The admissions tests for the Bachelor's Degree in Bioengineering are designed to assess both the academic skills and personal abilities of the candidates. The tests include:

  1. English Test
    This multiple-choice test evaluates your English language proficiency. Questions cover areas such as grammar, vocabulary, word and concept association, and the appropriate use of language. 
  2. General Knowledge Test
    This part of the test assesses your knowledge of key topics in bioengineering and related areas. The multiple-choice questions will allow you to demonstrate your understanding of important concepts in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology, which are essential for a career in bioengineering.
  3. Personal Interview 
    The personal interview is a key part of the process, as it offers insight into each candidate’s motivation and professional profile. The interviewers will also assess interpersonal skills, as well as academic and career aspirations.

Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences

The admissions tests for the Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences are designed to assess both the academic skills and personal abilities of the candidates. The tests include:

  1. English Test

The admissions tests for the Bachelor's Degree in Audiovisual Communication are designed to assess both the linguistic skills and analytical abilities of the candidates. The tests include:

  1. English Test 

This multiple-choice test evaluates your English language proficiency. Questions cover areas such as grammar, vocabulary, language functions, and the appropriate use of language. Level B1 Grammar test to choose the correct option.

  1. Spelling Test

This exam assesses your command of Spanish spelling rules. Through a multiple-choice format, you must identify the correct option in questions related to correct spelling and orthographic rules.

The personal interview is a key part of the process, as it offers insight into each candidate’s motivation and professional profile. The interviewers will also assess interpersonal skills, as well as academic and career aspirations.

Bachelor’s Degree in Law

The admissions tests for the Bachelor's Degree in Law are designed to assess both general knowledge and personal motivations of the candidates. The tests include:

  1. General Knowledge Test
    This test consists of 40 questions assessing basic knowledge of historical, cultural, political, social, and legal topics, as well as current affairs. This exam aims to assess the overall education level of the candidate
  2. Personal Interview 
    The personal interview is a key part of the process, as it offers insight into each candidate’s motivation and professional profile. Interviewers will also assess interpersonal skills, as well as academic and career aspirations.

     

Bachelor's Degree in Pre-Primary Education

The admissions tests for the Bachelor’s Degree in Pre-Primary Education are designed to assess both the academic abilities and personal qualities of the candidates. 

They are designed to assess Catalan and Spanish language skills, with a focus on grammar, vocabulary and idiomatic expressions.

The tests include:

  • Catalan Test
    The meaning of words and expressions, the correct use of connectors, pronouns and grammatical structures, as well as the mastery of idioms and idiomatic phrases typical of the language are assessed.
  • Spanish Test
    Aspects such as spelling and accentuation, grammar, appropriate word choice, comprehension of idioms and idiomatic expressions, and lexical substitution with appropriate synonyms are assessed.
  • English Test – Only for Bilingual Education
    This test is only for candidates for the Bachelor’s Degree in Bilingual Education. The test consists of multiple-choice questions on various linguistic aspects, and the first part focuses on assessing the level of English.
  • Personal Interview

Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education

The admissions tests for the Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education are designed to assess both the academic skills and personal abilities of the candidates.

The admissions tests for the Double Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education + Bachelor's Degree in Psychology assess both the academic skills and the personal abilities of the candidates. 

They are designed to assess Catalan and Spanish language skills, with a focus on grammar, vocabulary and idiomatic expressions.

The tests include:

  • Double Personal Interview 
    The personal interview is a key part of the process, as it offers insight into each candidate’s motivation and professional profile. The interviewers will also assess interpersonal skills, as well as academic and career aspirations. A personal interview will be held with the Faculty of Education Sciences and another with the Faculty of Psychology.

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

The entrance exams for the Bachelor’s degree in Nursing are designed to assess both the academic abilities and personal aptitudes of applicants. These exams include:

  • Emotional Intelligence Test
    It assesses certain aspects of the candidate's professional profile based on their responses to specific everyday situations. 
  • Specific Test
    The test consists of a set of 43 questions in five key areas: reading comprehension, numeracy, mathematics, chemistry and biology. Topics range from arithmetic, algebra and graphical functions to genetics, metabolism, atomic structure and analysis of complex texts. 
  • Personal Interview 
    The personal interview is a key part of the process, as it offers insight into each candidate’s motivation and professional profile. The interviewers will also assess interpersonal skills, as well as academic and career aspirations.

Double Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Psychology

The admissions tests for the Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy are designed to assess both the academic skills and personal abilities of the candidates. The tests include:

  • Specific Test for all admission pathways except advanced vocational training courses
    This test consists of 49 questions designed to assess the knowledge acquired during the first year of Baccalaureate, with a specific focus on the core foundations required for Physiotherapy studies. The test covers three main subject areas: chemistry, mathematics and biology.
  • Specific Test for Higher Vocational Education and Training Courses
    This test is designed to assess knowledge in the field of biology. It consists of 25 questions, and incorrect answers are not penalised.
  • Personal Interview 
    The personal interview is a key part of the process, as it offers insight into each candidate’s motivation and professional profile. The interviewers will also assess interpersonal skills, as well as academic and career aspirations.

Bachelor's Degree in Humanities and Cultural Studies

The admissions tests for the Bachelor's Degree in Humanities and Cultural Studies are designed to assess both the academic knowledge and the critical and personal skills of the candidates. The tests include:

  1. Text analysis
    The aim of this test is to assess the candidate's ability to analyse and critically reflect on a text. 
  2. General Culture Test
    This tests the candidate's knowledge in several key areas of the humanities, such as history, art, literature, philosophy and cultural movements. Questions cover topics such as literary works, significant authors, important historical events, and relevant philosophical concepts.
  3. Personal Interview
    The personal interview is an essential part of the process, allowing us to learn more about the motivations and academic profile of the candidate. The interviewers will assess aspects such as interpersonal skills, passion for the humanities, and the applicant's academic and career aspirations.

The admissions tests for the Bachelor’s Degree in Dentistry at UIC Barcelona are designed to assess both the academic knowledge and the general and specific skills of candidates. The tests include:

  • General Knowledge Test
    This is a multiple-choice test that assesses your knowledge in subjects such as biology and history, corresponding to the first year of Baccalaureate.
  • Psychometric Test
    This test includes questions that measure a range of abilities, including logical reasoning, problem-solving, spatial awareness, critical thinking, and general cognitive skills.
  • English Test
    This test evaluates your level of written comprehension and expression in English through grammar and vocabulary exercises.
  • Personal Interview
    The personal interview is a key part of the process, as it offers insight into each candidate’s motivation and professional profile. During the interview, evaluators will also assess your interpersonal skills as well as your academic and career aspirations.

Specific Knowledge Test in the Health and Social Care Field (only for students coming from a Higher Vocational Training Course):

Students coming from a Higher Vocational Training Course must take an additional test that evaluates their essential technical skills in the healthcare field. This test is designed to assess the specific knowledge acquired during their vocational training and to ensure that candidates are adequately prepared to continue their studies in the Bachelor's Degree in Dentistry.

Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism

The admissions tests for the Bachelor's Degree in Journalism at UIC Barcelona are designed to assess both the linguistic skills and analytical abilities of the candidates. The tests include:

  • English Test
    This multiple-choice test assesses your English language proficiency. Questions cover different areas such as grammar, vocabulary, language functions, and the appropriate use of language in different contexts.
