Mobility for teaching staff

All teaching staff at UIC Barcelona are eligible for mobility stays within the Erasmus+ international short-term stay programme (*)

What is  Erasmus+ mobility?

  • Duration and destination: Mobility of between two and five working days to a university within a European Union country (outside Spain).
  • Funded by the European Union:  The amount varies depending on the destination country and the duration of the mobility (funding normally covers economy class travel expenses, accommodation and meals).
  • Objective: to receive training and/or to teach
    Research stays and/or conference attendance are not included in this modality. (*See other mobility options for staff.)
  • Eligible categories:
    • 1) Teaching, at least eight hours of class.
    • 2) Training:
      • a) Attendance at an "Erasmus Staff Training Week" organised by other European universities.
      • b) Visit previously agreed with a service or department counterpart at the destination university (to perform "job shadowing" or an agenda of meetings).
      • c) Training linked to your job organised by a company, as long as you can present a certificate of attendance and completion of the training carried out.
    • 3) Mixed stay, both teaching and training

Mobility for administrative staff

All administrative staff at UIC Barcelona are eligible for mobility stays within the Erasmus+ international short-term stay programme (*)

    • 2) Receive training:
      • a) Attendance at an "Erasmus Staff Training Week" organised by other European universities.
      • b) Visit previously agreed with a service or department counterpart at the destination university (to perform "job shadowing" or an agenda of meetings).
      • c) Training linked to your job organised by a company, as long as you can present a certificate of attendance and completion of the training carried out.

Other mobility options for staff 

  • Mobility for Research Stays
    Each year, the Vice-Rectorate for Research, Innovation and Knowledge Transfer opens a call for applications to finance travel costs relating to research stays.
  • Mobility for Congresses
    Financing is provided to attend and organise congresses through research projects, groups or institutes, agreements, participant revenue, grants from institutions or authorities and from departments, in accordance with the criteria set out by the respective Department Boards.

  • Institutional Support Mobility
    The Vice-Rectorate for International Relations may award mobility grants for strategic reasons. When awarding the grants, priority will be given to mobility options that produce a multiplier effect, leverage various synergies and have a positive impact for the institution as a whole.

    To request funding, please fill out the “Application for Funding: International Relations" form (Annex 3), and send it to 
     relint@uic.es.
