As in previous years, the Spanish Social Choice Network (REES) will once again convene to share knowledge, debate ideas and present the current state of research by members of the network and others wishing to showcase their progress in this field.

This year, the Meeting will take place in Barcelona, hosted by the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences at Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona) on 28 and 29 November 2025.

Over the years, the REES Meeting has become a key forum for presenting recent work, fostering academic dialogue, and strengthening collaboration among researchers.  Beyond the presentations, what sets this event apart is the opportunity to reconnect, discover new perspectives, and open up avenues for joint research in an open and stimulating environment.

We hope this edition in Barcelona will continue to serve as a meeting point where academic excellence is combined with the sense of community that defines REES.

Registration fees

Registration for the 22nd REES Meeting includes access to all scientific sessions, coffee breaks, lunches, and the dinner on Friday 28 November.

There are two registration options:

• General fee: €155
  Standard registration for all participants.
   
• Full package: €500
  This option includes, in addition to registration for the Meeting:
   
  • Two nights’ accommodation (Thursday 27 and Friday 28 November) at a 3-star hotel (Hotel Catalonia Mikado), located just 500 metres from UIC Barcelona.
  • Buffet breakfast included. The hotel offers a swimming pool and gym.

Limited availability: 20 rooms have been reserved for this option and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until fully booked.

The 22nd REES Meeting will be held in the Saló de Graus at UIC Barcelona:

UIC Barcelona is a private university based in Barcelona, combining a strong academic tradition with a clear international outlook and commitment to knowledge transfer. The Faculty is in the Sant Gervasi–La Bonanova neighbourhood, a quiet and well-connected area of the city.

How to get there

The university is easily accessible from central Barcelona via public transport:

• Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGC): Lines S1 (towards Terrassa – Nacions Unides), S2 (towards Sabadell – Parc del Nord), and L6 (towards Sarrià), with stops at Les Tres Torres or Sarrià (approximately 10 minutes on foot).
• City buses: The most direct line to UIC is the V9, stop at Iradier–Planella.
• Taxi or ride-hailing services: Approximately 20–40 minutes from Plaça de Catalunya, or 20–35 minutes from Plaça d’Espanya, depending on traffic conditions.
   

Social dinner

As in previous editions, the Meeting will include a social dinner on Friday evening.
