Europe’s Defence

Carlemany Institute for European Studies Aula Magna

The Carlemany Institute for European Studies at UIC Barcelona, directed by Dr Montserrat Nebrera, is organising a new lecture by lawyer and journalist Ricard Fernández Deu.

In an international context marked by the demands of the United States on its NATO allies — including Spain — to increase defence spending, and by the ongoing debate on possible nuclear rearmament, Fernández Deu will offer a rigorous and accessible analysis of the current state of European security.

Drawing on his experience as former director of RNE in Catalonia, member of parliament and board member of the Catalan Audiovisual Media Corporation, the speaker will provide essential data and perspectives to understand this highly topical issue and to develop an informed view on Europe’s role in the new world order.

Free session, prior registration required.
