The IMMA Awards 2017

Faculty of Communication Sciences Barcelona Campus
8th edition of the IMMA Awards - 2017

Festive and celebratory perspective to award the talent of final year Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communication students

For this eighth edition our intention was to reinvent the awards and, apart from awarding the Best PFG and the Audience Award for the best PFG, we would like all students from the various years of the Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual communication to participate by presenting the best audiovisual projects they have created throughout the academic year, and compete for Best Project of the Year. Additionally, for the first time winners will receive a trophy that has been exclusively designed for the occasion. It was created by Alexandre Martínez Llapart, a 5th year student from ESARQ- School of Architecture at UIC Barcelona.

We are delighted to welcome cinema director Nely Reguera as the patron of the IMMA Awards this year.  Nely Reguera (Barcelona, 1978) was nominated for the Goya Awards 2012, as Best New Director for her first film ‘María (y los demás)‘, after the success she previously achieved with short films such as ‘Pablo’. She is also an assistant director and teaches film at a university level.

Filmin, the online streaming platform which the European Union has said is the best European cinema platform to be set up in recent years, is sponsoring the IMMA Awards again this year.
