International Research Conference on Creative Industries (CIIIC)
The Faculty of Communication Sciences is organising the first edition of the International Research Conference on Creative Industries (CIIIC) within the framework of BIME. This event, a meeting point for researchers and scholars aimed at proposing solutions to the challenges facing creative industries in Spanish-speaking markets, will be led by lecturer Isabel Villanueva. BIME is one of the world’s four main music industry events.
Here, researchers, professionals and scholars will have the opportunity to present work related to the music industry on 29 and 30 October at Palacio Euskalduna in Bilbao. The aim of the conference is to foster a deeper understanding of the socioeconomic, technological and cultural dynamics that are shaping the music industry, with the goal of developing innovative and sustainable business models that converge with other markets and sectors.
Presentation of unpublished reports
On 29 and 30 October, four reports with music industry data will be presented during the Congress. These reports are from the EsMúsica Federation; Somos Música, an organisation for representatives of producers and artists; the Nebrija Spanish Observatory; and BIME, which will bring the Congress to an end with the report entitled Emerging Technologies, Cultural Sovereignty and Music. Attendees will also hear the results of the conference by the keynote speaker, Andreas Katsambas from Chartmetric.
You can check the full programme on the CIIIC website.
