The UIC Barcelona Doctoral School is organising a welcome session for new doctoral students for the 2025–2026 academic year.

The aim of this activity is to provide a comprehensive overview of the doctoral programmes, with information on academic dynamics, use of the computerised management tool and the complementary training activities available to doctoral students, among other aspects.

The session is intended for all new doctoral students and their thesis supervisors, to help them successfully adjust to the programme.

• 16.40–17.30 Introduction to the Doctoral School and Q&A session
• 17.30–18.00 Literature and resources by Eva del Río, head of the Library
• 18.00–18.15 Presentation of UIC Barcelona’s ideology by Dr Xavier Escribano
• 18.15–18.40 Coffee break
• 18.40–19.30 Specific information for each doctoral programme

5 December (online in English):

• 11.00 h - 12.00 h Doctoral studies overview by Núria Casals, director of the Doctoral School, and Àger Pérez Casanovas, School manager
