World Radio Day: 5th edition of UIC Radio Day
On 13 February, the Faculty of Communication Sciences at UIC Barcelona will be holding the fifth edition of UIC Radio Day, a special programme to commemorate World Radio Day. The programme will be broadcast live on the Faculty’s YouTube channel from 09.00 to 15.00.
This will be the second consecutive year in which students prepare the programme’s content, supported and guided by lecturer Javier Sáez. Journalism students will take the lead in the line-up, accompanied by students from Audiovisual Communication, and Advertising and Public Relations across all year groups.

09.00–10.00 News. Comprehensive news bulletin with Claudia Adame and Maria Delgado, supervised by Francesc Cano. Coverage of current affairs, including a round-table discussion and an interview.
10.00–11.00 Tot s’hi val. A magazine-style show on social issues, celebrity news and cultural topics, delivered in a relaxed and humorous tone. With Carlos Roiger, Adriana Arce and Marc García.
11.00–12.00 Mayéutica. Interviews exploring cultural and entertainment topics. Cultured, informal and relaxed. Presented by Edu Aguirán.
12.00–12.30 Ens han venut la moto. A programme on advertising, persuasive techniques and current campaigns, framed through a humorous conversation among friends. Presented by Nadia Cordon, Marina Labora, Carla Rojo and Anna Garcia.
12.30–13.30 Sports. Sports news with Carlos Roiger featuring Carlos Monfort (Sport), Albert Roger (Sports Director of the Pío Kings League team), Mireia Ruiz (Catalunya Ràdio), Dani Aguilà (RAC1), and Eric Montes.
13.30–14.00 Gastronomy. Food recommendations, places to visit, dishes to taste. Hosted by Carlos Roiger and his food club.
14.00–15.00 Toma Nota, musical finale. Film and music news combined with conversations among friends and special guests. The programme will conclude with a live musical performance. Presented by Jan Hernandez, Marcos Küppers and Sergi Vazquez, with Adriana Arce as music contributor.
This year’s line-up highlights students’ own podcast projects: Tot s’hi val, Mayéutica, Toma Nota and Ens han venut la moto are all recorded regularly at the Faculty’s Transmedia Lab, encouraging creativity and entrepreneurial thinking. The editorial team of Doblecheck, UIC Barcelona’s student media outlet, will also support the production and promotion of UIC Radio Day.
