Gaetano Verde, PhD

I am Biotechnologist with PhD (2011) in molecular biology at Institute of Genetics and Biophysics in Naples (Italy). During my studies, I spent a brief period as invited researcher at Cancer Research Institute in Cambridge (United Kingdom). From 2011 I held several postdoctoral positions first in Miguel Beato’s group and Susana de la Luna’s group at Centre for Genomic Regulation, Barcelona (Spain) and, then, in dynamic chromatin group at Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology in Barcelona (Spain). I join the UIC from October 2017. My research background is in epigenetics and cancer.

 During my free time, I love to travel and play sports.
