What is it?

A 60-hour course, including 30 on-site hours and 30 hours of autonomous work in the virtual classroom, aimed at preparing students for the Cambridge C1 Advanced certificate. During the course you will work on the language structures, vocabulary, and strategies necessary to successfully pass the Cambridge C1 Advanced exam. 

To enrol in this course, it is necessary to certify a minimum level of C.1 of the Common EuropeanFramework of Reference (CEFR). If you do not know your level, please take this level test and contact us. 

This course does not include registration for the official Cambridge C1 Advanced exam. Once the course is completed, students can take the exam on the date and at the exam centre of their choice. You will find all the information about exam dates and locations at this link.

Who is it for?

All members of the university community (students, teaching and administrative staff) and non-university members.

Where and when?

Semester 1

  • Barcelona Campus: from 1 October to 10 December, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3 p.m. to 4:30 pm.
  • Sant Cugat Campus: from 1 October to 10 December, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3 p.m. to 4:30 pm.

Semester 2

  • Barcelona Campus:  from 16 February to 6 May, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3 p.m. to 4:30 pm.
  • Campus Sant Cugat: from 16 February to 6 May, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3 p.m. to 4:30 pm.

Accreditation

Certificate of attendance and completion with credit recognition. To earn this certificate of completion, you must attend at least 80% of the sessions and successfully complete the course.

Credit recognition

This course has a teaching load of 3 ECTS credits. If you are a undergraduate student at UIC Barcelona, you can apply for the recognition of 3 ECTS credits for this course.   2. Contact us at multiling@uic.cat and we will tell you the result of your test.
  3. Once we confirm the level you can enrol in the corresponding course.

Application for admission

To register, all you need to is fill out the form corresponding to the semester and campus on which you would like to take the course. After submitting the form, you will receive an e-mail with the necessary information to pay the enrolment fee.
