What?

A semester-long course consisting of 30 on-site hours and 30 hours of online work (4 ECTS) in which you will gain a more in-depth understanding of the Spanish language and culture and start to handle more complex texts and communicative situations.

All members of the university community (students, PAS and PDI) and External students

1st semester

Barcelona Campus

  • From 6 October to 29 November, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • From 6 October to 29 November, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 to 12 p.m.

Sant Cugat Campus

  • From 5 October to 30 November, Mondays and Wednesdays, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • From 5 October to 30 November, Mondays and Wednesdays, 10 to 12 p.m.

2nd semester

  • Barcelona Campus, 14 February to 11 April, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3 to 5 p.m
  • Sant Cugat Campus, 13 February to 12 April, Mondays and Wednesdays, 3 to 5 p.m.

Certification

Certificate of attendance, successful completion and credit recognition. To earn a certificate, you must attend at least 50% of the on-site sessions, complete 80% of the online exercises and pass the final exam. 

Credit recognition

This course has a workload of 4 ECTS credits. If you are an Erasmus student, you can include this course in your Learning Agreement. If you are a UIC Barcelona bachelor’s degree student, you can request recognition of 3 ECTS credits for taking the course. Online test level

To determine that you have the required level to be able to enrol in the course, it is essential that you do the following:

  1. Do this level test
  2. Contact us by email at multiling@uic.cat and we will tell you the result you obtained.
  3. Once we confirm your level, you may enrol in the corresponding course.

Application for admission

To register, all you need to do is fill out the form corresponding to the semester in which you would like to take the course. After submitting the form, you will receive an email with the necessary information to pay the enrolment fee.
