I’m a biologist (1993) with a PhD in molecular microbiology and genetics (1998). My PhD supervisors were Miguel Sánchez-Pérez and César Nombela at the Complutense University of Madrid. I have held several postdoctoral positions, the most recent one (2007-2012) being in Dr Francesc Posas’ lab at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona.
My research background is in the fungal cell cycle, morphogenesis, pathogenesis and signalling.
My current research interest is the study of the regulation of the cell cycle in the yeast S. cerevisiae by nutrients. My expertise is in molecular biology techniques (cloning, DNA, RNA and protein chemistry in general) and microscopy (fluorescent and confocal).
