I completed my biology studies at the Faculty of Bioscience of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. I am now working towards getting my PhD in health sciences in Dr Josep Clotet’s group.
In December 2013, I started my project which involves the discovery of new substrates regulated by an accessory cyclin-dependent kinase, Pho85, in yeast. I am now focusing on studying the role of the cell cycle in the mechanisms regulating the cell size by ploidy in collaboration with Dr Martí Aldea (CSIC-IBMB).
My main hobby is dancing the sardana as a professional dancer and I take part in competitions visiting different cities and towns around Catalonia. I also go hiking in some of the most beautiful places around the world.
