I graduated with a degree in biology in 1989 and earned my PhD in molecular biology in 1994 under the supervision of Joaquin Ariño from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. I held a postdoctoral position (2000-2009) in Dr Francesc Posas’ lab at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona.
My research background is on the cell cycle and signalling in the yeast S. cerevisiae.
My current interests are:
- The study of the regulation of the cell cycle in yeast and mammals by new CDK/cyclin complexes.
- Spending time with my daughter.
- Participating in mountain races.
- Playing funky music on my SML saxophone.
