20 teachers and lecturers from the field of health sciences attend the Inno-Health Event organised by the UIC Barcelona Teaching Innovation Classroom

This year's meeting focused on learning and deepening aspects related to interprofessional education (IPE) in the healthcare field

On 1 October, the University hosted the Inno-Health Event, organised by the UIC Barcelona Teaching Innovation Classroom on our Sant Cugat Campus.

This year's session brought together a total of 20 teachers involved in all disciplines and studies in the field of health sciences with the main objective of deepening knowledge of aspects related to interprofessional education (IPE) within this field.

During the day, several dynamic group activities were organised to identify the common points for the appropriate development of interprofessional education and to seek synergies between the different degree programmes in the healthcare field.

The four-hour session was attended by experts on the subject, such as Dr Pilar Fuster, Dr Maria Arregui and Dr Encarna Rodríguez, and then there was a talk from Dr Juan Luis González Pascual, who presented experiences of IPE at the European University of Madrid. He is a Community Nursing lecturer and Coordinator of the bachelor’s degree in Nursing at the European University of Madrid, as well as a member of the interprofessional education group at the same institution.

The meeting ended with a discussion among the lecturers on their experiences of IPE in the different bachelor’s degree programmes taught on our Sant Cugat Campus at UIC Barcelona, including aspects related to research and teaching.
