The Alumni UIC Barcelona Territorial Network launches in Turin with the Torino–Milano Chapter

The event featured a conference on artificial intelligence and networking spaces among international professionals

Alumni UIC Barcelona has launched its Territorial Network with the inaugural event of the Torino–Milano Chapter, a strategic step towards strengthening the University’s international presence and consolidating its alumni community outside Spain.

The event, held in Turin, brought together alums from Turin and Milan for a session focused on sharing professional experiences, fostering networking opportunities and bolstering ties within the community across the region.

Alberto Ribera, professor at IESE Business School and holder of a PhD in Economics from UIC Barcelona, delivered a keynote lecture on leadership in the age of artificial intelligence. His talk explored the key challenges and opportunities arising from today’s technological landscape, encouraging reflection among attendees.

The event also served to introduce the team of Alumni Ambassadors leading the Torino–Milano Chapter: Rebecca Annovati, Fabrizio Camoletto, Francesco Corazza, Livia Nardone and Mariana Machado, all committed to driving the Network’s activity in this region.

The event was attended by representatives from UIC Barcelona, including the vice-dean of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences, David Tanganelli, lecturer Ruggero Colombari and Alumni Director Frederic Van Dyck. They were joined by a delegation of teaching staff from the Politecnico di Torino, led by Domenico Maisano, alongside Stefano Zucca, Maurizio Galetto, Luca Mastrogiacomo and Massimo Rossetto.

The aim of the Alumni Territorial Network is to strengthen ties between the University and its international community by promoting initiatives that create value and support the professional and personal development of its members.

The next event on the Network’s agenda will involve the Chapter in Mexico City on 16 May, as part of the initiative’s process of global expansion.
