On the other hand, we obtain the knowledge necessary to diagnose and propose a plan of treatment and preventive dentistry plan; Learn the techniques of conservative and surgical dental therapy in pediatric patients; Learn the techniques of handling child's behavior in the consultation; Know the principles governing the administration of drugs in pediatric dentistry, and indications and method of use; Knowing how to react to emergencies that may occur in pediatric patients, and how to act before the rest of situations that may occur in pediatric patients.

Pre-course requirements

Having passed the course THEORETICAL SEMINAR I

Objectives

Therefore, it is important that there are dentists prepared to prevent and solve the most common oral problems of the pediatric population.

The objective of this course is that students obtain advanced knowledge required for proper diagnosis and counseling of child terapética patient.

Evaluation systems and criteria

In person

  •

  •

  • Two theoretical examinations will be held during the academic year:
    • Theoretical exam first semester: 50% of the final grade of the subject
    • Theoretical exam second semester: 50% of the final grade of the subject

To pass the subject, a minimum grade of 5 is necessary in the two theoretical exams of the subject to be able to perform the average.

The theoretical exam will be made up of test-type questions with 5 possible answers, and a single correct one, short answer questions and true/false questions. Badly answered questions will subtract 0.20 points. The theoretical exam is passed based on a minimum grade of 5 out of 10.

Attendance at theoretical classes is mandatory. Only those that are due to serious illness, accident and/or death of a first and second degree of consanguineity will be considered as justified faults. In case of justified lack, the proof of the same must be delivered to the responsible teacher no later than one week after it (via email).

The unwarranted lack of 2 or more theoretical sessions will lead to the suspense of the subject.
