Activities

Training for future psychologists, based on the values of UIC Barcelona. Both undergraduate and graduate students will be given hands-on clinical training right from year one, enabling them to learn directly from the Clinic’s team of professionals. Renowned psychiatrists and psychologists, who perform people-centred treatments based on scientific evidence and share an anthropological view of human beings centred on Christian humanism.

Students will always work in the Support University Psychology and Psychiatry Clinic in groups of 5, observing and listening to sessions from an adjoining room and through a two-way mirror in the case of individual, couple’s or family treatments. This teaching activity allows us to offer clinical psychological and psychiatric care services at affordable prices, promoting greater accessibility for the entire population.

Promoción y prevención de la salud

Support University Psychology and Psychiatry Clinic holds promotion and prevention sessions for schools, companies or any other collective that requires them. It also organises workshops and psycho-educational sessions on more specific processes in which these preventive measures have demonstrated evidence.

Life process support

Support University Psychology and Psychiatry Clinic offers life process guidance and support in family (adolescence, grief, carers...) and work situations (in-company mentoring, hiring process...).

Diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders

Diagnosis and individual and group sessions to treat mental disorders through a biopsychosocial and multidisciplinary psychological and psychiatric approach.

The aim of the research conducted by the team of professionals at the Support University Psychology and Psychiatry Clinic is to deliver results relating to the lines of research explored as part of the bachelor’s and postgraduate degrees on the Health Campus, undertaking to make progress in improving the quality of life for patients, family members and society at large.
