Professional experience
She holds a PhD in Surgery and Morphological Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the International University of Catalonia, with more than four years of experience teaching undergraduate medical students. She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and is a specialist in General and Digestive Surgery, with expertise in abdominal wall surgery.She works as a Consultant Surgeon in the Department of General Surgery at the Fundació Hospital General de Granollers and is Head of both the Complex Abdominal Wall Unit and the Biliopancreatic Disease Unit.
Her research focuses primarily on complex abdominal wall surgery, particularly abdominal wall closure, which was the subject of her doctoral thesis. She defended her thesis in 2022 and was awarded the distinction of cum laude.
She is the author of several indexed publications, has served as principal investigator on several research projects, and has delivered numerous presentations at national and international conferences.
