Final Degree Project Presentations – UIC Barcelona School of Architecture

On July 23, 24, and 25, final-year students from UIC Barcelona School of Architecture will present their Final Degree Projects (FDPs) at the Roca Barcelona Gallery, in open sessions that will be attended by professors, industry professionals, and academic authorities.

Under the title “A New Vision for Creativity. Reimagining the Process of Architectural Design”, the projects explore new ways of approaching architectural design through creative and experimental processes. Starting from a musical piece or a literary work, students have developed proposals that connect architecture with the sensory universe, moving away from traditional frameworks and embracing an open and cross-disciplinary approach.

Some of the projects have been developed within the university’s active research lines, in collaboration with industry partners. In these cases, students worked closely with research teams and professional collaborators, integrating technical knowledge and real-world challenges into their proposals.

The projects have been supervised by architects and professors Alberto Burgos, Josep Miàs, Maria Barcina, and Patrícia Tamayo. They address topics ranging from sustainability to accessibility and energy efficiency, with a strong focus on innovation.

As part of the FDP presentations, the ROCKWOOL Sustainability Awards, the Schindler Accessibility Awards, and the 2025 Daikin – Schneider Electric Architecture Installations Award will be presented.
