On 23 May at 12.00, the full professor of Audiovisual Communication and rector of UIC Barcelona, Dr Alfonso Méndiz, will present his latest book, 21 dilemas éticos del True Crime Contemporáneo (21 Ethical Dilemmas of Contemporary True Crime) at the bookstore +Bernat in Barcelona. The event will be moderated by 3cat journalist Ramon Pellicer.

In the words of Alfonso Méndiz, “21 dilemas éticos del True Crime Contemporáneo encourages readers to reflect on the limits, practices and principles that should guide a genre which, perhaps more than any other, lies at the intersection of information, emotion and human suffering.” During the event, the Rector of UIC Barcelona will share with attendees the conclusions and reflections that emerged while writing the book, as well as the first impressions following its publication.

The book was co-authored by Marta Sánchez Esparza, a lecturer at Rey Juan Carlos University, in line with recent research conducted by the professor and researcher from the Faculty of Communication Sciences.

The presentation will be open to all those interested in attending.
