What is it?

A 100-hour course, a 50-hour live classroom course with 50 hours of autonomous learning via video conferencing that aims to prepare the student for the Cambridge B2 First exam. During the course you will work on the language structures, vocabulary, and strategies necessary to successfully pass the Cambridge B2 First exam.

To enrol in this course, it is necessary to certify a minimum level of B2.1 of the Common Framework of Reference (CEFR). If you do not know your level, please take this level test and contact us.

This course does not include registration for the official Cambridge B2 First exam. The exam will be held on 19 April at UIC Barcelona. You will find all the information about the exam, (dates, registration form, price, etc.) here

Cambridge B2 First is an English exam created by Cambridge Assessment English.

B2 First examines whether students have the language skills necessary to communicate confidently in an English-speaking environment. It is an assessment of the four main language skills: comprehension in both reading and listening, and oral and written expression. It certifies a B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

With this certificate you can certify your level of English at the University and it will also allow you to work in the public sector or to participate in a mobility programme.

Who is it for?

All members of the university community (students, teaching and administrative staff) and non-university members.

How does it work?

Live online classes via video conference.

Live online sessions: The teacher will impart the classes live to the whole group during the assigned timetable through the Google Meet platform. The video conference sessions will be recorded, and the material of each class will always be available in the virtual classroom. If you are unable to attend a session or part of the content is not clear, you can consult it as many times as you want.

Self-study: Work will be assigned that you must perform during or after the class session: written activities, readings, various exercises for reinforcement, etc.

Where and when?
