Adult Stem Cell Research Presented in Seattle

On Thursday to Saturday, 21-23 March 2013, for the second consecutive year, the UIC Faculty of Dentistry attended the trade fair organized by the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) in Seattle. The dean of the faculty and several professors presented different research projects being carried out in the faculty.

The IADR, which is based in Alexandria, Virginia, is a non-profit organization with more than 11,000 members around the world. Its mission is to advance research and increase knowledge for the improvement of oral health worldwide, support and represent the oral health research community, and facilitate the communication and application of research findings.

In representation of the UIC, Lluís Giner, the Dean of the Faculty, and professors Josep Cabratosa, Cristina Cuadros and Susana Saus presented the research project on adult stem cells and teaching innovation.

At another booth, they promoted the research capacity of the faculty in the dental industry and the dissemination of international teaching programmes.
