Albert Cortina describes the key to advanced humanism in a session with Law students

The lawyer gave a masterclass to degree students

Technology forms part of daily life across the board. We connect to the internet to read the news or spend time on a social network or even share our personal ideas, buy some plane tickets or reserve a doctor’s appointment.  But how do all these changes affect us?  Where are the legal limitations?

Lawyer Albert Cortina talked about this and other issues. He analysed the key to the utopia of transhumanism in a session aimed at law students taking a Bachelor’s degree in Law.  A talk in which he analysed the ethical, social and legal implications of these revolutions which affect universal human rights, democracy and our lives.

“We are at the start of a change in era in terms of the evolution of humanity. This new situation is reflected by three revolutions: digital, biological and space. All three are based on exponential technology and disruption.  In transhumanist ideology this triple revolution has become a desire to radically transform the human condition and human nature” explained Cortina.

The expert added “we are currently immersed in three other revolutions: ecological, humanist and spiritual”, calling this a new advanced humanism.
