The Experience Campus students have had the opportunity again this year to show their artistic talents through theatre. On this occasion, there were two groups that accepted the challenge to perform in a play. Les Teresines: Tots Sants, an adaptation of the La Cubana classic and the original El hotel estrellado
Between 20 and 24 May, 20 actors and 200 spectators enjoyed the theatre in the Aula Magna lecture theatre on the Barcelona Campus. First, while preparing artificial flower arrangements for All Saints Day, the Teresina sisters had to deal with an alleged gas leak that causes a great deal of commotion for them and their neighbours.
Then two days later, the play El hotel estrellado. All the hotel staff turn everything upside down and inside out on a day when it seems that there was an inspector among the guests who is to see if the hotel is worthy of the fifth star. The hotel staff must rise above the adversities and comical situations to show the best image of the hotel to the inspector.
Both plays, directed by Núria Florensa and Elena Santa María, respectively, are an authentic comedy of troubles and satirical humour that allowed the public to enjoy a show full of laughter and applause for a theatre group that proved that theatre breaks the boundaries of age.
And, as it could be no other way, the long, standing ovation they received from the public was well deserved. Until next year!
