Íria Medina, Physiotherapy bachelor’s degree student, awarded with the International Matteo Baumgarten Prize

The prestigious award, which has the support of the International Ski Federation (FIS), is a recognition of the good academic and sports results of the future physiotherapist

Íria Medina, student of the Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy, has been awarded the 27th International Matteo Baumgarten Prize with support of the International Ski Federation (FIS). The award ceremony took place on 7 April in Bormio (Italy).

Medina, who is also part of the Andorran Ski Federation (FAE), explained, “I am delighted with this recognition, since awards like this motivate you to continue working. They show you that little by little, the effort you are putting in both in skiing and in studying has a reward.”

The Matteo Baumgarten International Prize was established by the Baumgarten family in honour of their son Matteo, a promising skier who died tragically. It recognises young athletes who demonstrate great dedication to both academic and sports training.

Íria Medina received this award for the good results obtained both with her sports career and in her university studies at the Sant Cugat Campus of the University.
