Lunet Facility Services has reaffirmed its commitment to UIC Barcelona and the #NoTalentWithoutAFuture campaign

The Maria Pou Foundation, promoted by Lunet Facility Services, has once again confirmed its commitment to UIC Barcelona by renewing its collaboration agreement to provide a grant fund for students at risk of social exclusion. This grant will cover part of the tuition of any university degree at UIC Barcelona.

At an event held at the Barcelona Campus of the University, Juan Miguel Carmona Pou, president of the Maria Pou Foundation and CEO of Lunet Facility Services, presented the donation to Mr Alfonso Méndiz Noguero, rector of UIC Barcelona. During the meeting, Mr Carmona reiterated his commitment to the project and stressed the importance of promoting equal opportunities in academia, “As society receives resources through young people, we are already transforming this society. It is more rewarding to give than to receive, and by giving, you get back a hundredfold. The return is huge.”

The recently renewed collaboration agreement reflects a whole programme of inclusive measures to facilitate access to higher education for those most in need, supporting projects that promote solidarity, equality and respect, especially in vulnerable communities.

This donation is also part of UIC Barcelona's annual #NoTalentWithoutAFuture campaign – an initiative that goes beyond simple fundraising. It represents a real movement of support driven by the Alumni community, companies, institutions, and friends who believe in equal opportunities and the transformative power of education.

Rector Alfonso Méndiz thanked the Maria Pou-Lunet Foundation for its support, stressing that, “This type of collaboration is essential so that no talented student is deprived of a future due to financial reasons”. The university continues to work to expand support to ensure that all students can fulfil their academic and professional potential.
