The lecturer of the Faculty of Communication Sciences and Accounts Director of the agency Playmedia has participated in the “Museu Bici Lab”. This project has been chosen as one of the 50 best museums in Europe, and nominated for the European Museum of the Year Award 2024 (EMYA)
The Bici Lab Andorra (BLA) is a museum dedicated exclusively to cycling, located in the centre of Andorra la Vella. This centre has one of the best collections of classic bikes in the world, in addition to having the most cutting-edge simulation technology for virtual reality experiences. UIC Barcelona lecturer Montse Albareda has been involved in the project as account manager at Playmedia, the agency responsible for the design and construction of the museum.
In this year’s edition, the EMYA awards have selected the BLA as one of the 50 best museums in Europe. This title recognises excellence and innovation in Europe, and in turn fosters and promotes innovative processes in the international museum scene. It is the most prestigious award in the European museum sector and, as Albareda acknowledges, “the fact of being nominated and participating in the final is already a recognition for all the years of work”.
