Successful turnout for the training programme between UIC Barcelona and the Calonge i Sant Antoni Municipal Council

In November and December, the town of Calonge i Sant Antoni hosted a series of educational sessions promoted by UIC Barcelona and the Municipal Council, within the scope of their strategic partnership

The series addressed key topics for economic and professional development in the region, including digital marketing, innovation, artificial intelligence, business management and personal growth, led by teaching staff and experts from UIC Barcelona.

The first session, which took place on 14 November, featured Juanjo Marin, an expert in productivity and executive leadership, who delivered a lecture entitled “How to Achieve Focus, Balance and Results in a Business that Depends on You”, with emphasis on enhancing personal and professional performance.

On 19 November, Pepe Maciá de Arana led the session “Financial Analysis and the Application of Artificial Intelligence”, aimed at making finance accessible to non-financial profiles and illustrating how AI is transforming business decision-making.

On 24 November, Sofia Matas and Anna Castellví delivered the session “How to Enhance Professional Development and Personal Growth”, which focused on self-awareness, professional skills and career progression in changing environments.

The series concluded on 9 December with the session “Digital Marketing and New Technologies”, by Jaume Serra, which explored key digital trends and their practical application for local businesses, entrepreneurs and small enterprises.

These sessions are framed within one of the central objectives of the partnership between the two institutions: the creation of the UIC Barcelona-Calonge Education Hub, a specialised learning space aimed at generating knowledge, fostering synergies and unlocking new educational and professional opportunities in the town.
