UIC Barcelona and Dentsply Sirona, an internationally renowned benchmark in terms of research, development and clinical training in dentistry, have renewed the cooperation that began with the chair founded in 2019. Within the framework of the new agreement, both entities have agreed to update the name of the chair, which will now be the Dentsply Sirona-UIC Barcelona Chair in Digital Flow in Dentistry.

Directed by Dr Miguel Roig, head of the area of Restorative Dentistry in the UIC Barcelona Faculty of Dentistry, and Mr Xavi Carro, general director of Dentsply Sirona, the chair aims to establish cooperation and joint development between the university and Dentsply Sirona. To that end, they will continue joint research, training and dissemination activities from an interdisciplinary point of view, focused on the areas of Orthodontics, Periodontology, Surgery/Implants, Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry.
