Humanities and Cultural Studies students at UIC Barcelona will be able to achieve a double degree in only five years along with Iona College in New York.  This agreement will be in force from the 2018-2019 academic year onwards. 

Therefore, after completing studies in Humanities and Cultural Studies (four years), students will then be able to study for a fifth year in New York and obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science or a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies.

Both the Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities and Cultural Studies and the studies offered by Iona College are officially recognised both in Spain and in the United States. There is also an opportunity to undertake work experience on the campus itself and extend your stay once you have completed your studies.  

This double degree is part of our goal to internationalise the degree programmes in the Faculty of Humanities in order to provide a bilingual track to students. It is also an opportunity to open up our doors to other countries and allow students to have the experience of studying in two of the most cosmopolitan cities that exist:  Barcelona and New York.
