UIC Barcelona and IPD Dental Group strengthen their collaboration with training and research in digital innovation
The two entities have renewed their collaboration agreement with the will to continue promoting training and the development of new solutions to improve the health and well-being of patients in the dental field, through the IPD-UIC Barcelona Classroom in Digital Innovation
In this way, the Classroom, attached to the Faculty of Dentistry, will continue to offer training initiatives aimed at students and teaching staff of the different master's degrees offered by the Faculty, as well as professionals in the sector, with a special focus on the field of Dental Restoration. In this new phase, along with seminars focusing on the digitalisation of the dental sector and advanced restorative options, the Classroom will go a step further by promoting research projects in digital dentistry.
Following the creation of the Classroom, UIC Barcelona and the leading company in the design, manufacture and distribution of dental implant attachments IPD Dental Group will be holding three seminars this year focusing on the changes that digitalisation implies in the work of dentists, how digitalisation has altered workflows and the different restorative options it offers. In addition, a theoretical and practical course will be organised to introduce participants to the latest technologies and techniques in digital dentistry.
This initiative not only reinforces the transfer of knowledge from the University to society but also consolidates the UIC Barcelona Faculty of Dentistry as a benchmark in innovation and collaboration with the sector's industry.
With the continuity of the IPD-UIC Barcelona Classroom in Digital Innovation, the Faculty now has two classrooms and seven business chairs, which reflect the synergy between university education and the application of cutting-edge technologies in clinical practice, contributing to the development of a more precise, efficient and patient-centred dentistry.
