UIC Barcelona awarded Best of CASE Europe for its 25th anniversary communications plan
The University has been honoured by the CASE Awards for its proposal “UIC Barcelona 25th Anniversary Strategic Comms Plan” in the Special Events: In-Person (Multi-Day) category
UIC Barcelona has received the Best of CASE Europe award for the communications plan developed to mark the institution’s 25th anniversary. Each year, CASE recognises best practices in institutional advancement and honours individuals and organisations that make outstanding contributions to the growth and understanding of the profession. With this award, CASE has highlighted the creativity and innovation of UIC Barcelona through its proposal titled “UIC Barcelona 25th Anniversary Strategic Comms Plan”.
Specifically, the communications plan developed during the 2022–2023 academic year highlighted the quality of teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outreach at UIC Barcelona. Its aim was not only to communicate the achievements of UIC Barcelona over its first 25 years and to share future challenges, but above all to express gratitude to all those who have contributed to making the University what it is today.
The 25th anniversary brought together the entire university community, including more than 27,000 graduates, as well as the companies, institutions and other partners who have contributed and continue to contribute to maintaining high academic standards. Throughout the commemorative year, a series of monthly events and activities were organised, which served as a point of engagement with various stakeholder groups within the university and the wider community.
In the words of Mayra García Nieto, director of Communications at UIC Barcelona, “this recognition is an award for each and every person who has helped expand our brand, and it was a privilege to be there to tell the story”.
This award recognises UIC Barcelona as one of twelve CASE member institutions in Europe distinguished for their work, alongside universities such as the University of Cambridge and the University of Manchester. The aim of this award is to showcase different creative and innovative approaches that can serve as inspiration for other institutions.
