UIC Barcelona excels in the MIR 2025 examination with outstanding results

99% of graduates from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences have surpassed the cut-off mark in the recent examination, consolidating UIC Barcelona as the Spanish university with the highest consistency in this indicator.

50% of students from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences have secured a ranking below 4,000 in the national classification, which this year includes 14,350 medical professionals competing for 9,007 available MIR placements. 

The top ranking in the cohort – of which 99% passed the exam – was 164, a milestone that highlights the students' academic excellence and dedication, positioning UIC Barcelona among the leading universities in the medical field at a national level.

As Dr Esther Calbo, dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, explains, “These results are a testament to the students’ hard work, the high standards and dedication of our teaching staff, as well as UIC Barcelona’s methodology, which focuses on the comprehensive training of future doctors and the development of cross-cutting skills.”
