UIC receives the “Ally for Talent 2026” award in Ecuador

The distinction, awarded by Young Talent LATAM as part of the Young Talent Expo 2026 in Guayaquil, recognises the University’s commitment to higher education and career guidance for young people in Ecuador

Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) has received the “Ally for Talent 2026” award from Young Talent LATAM in recognition of its commitment to higher education and career guidance for young people in Ecuador. The distinction rewards the University’s efforts to bring academic opportunities closer to upper secondary school students in the region and support them as they choose their university pathway.

The award was presented on 28 September during Young Talent Expo 2026’s official recognition ceremony at the Guayaquil Convention Centre. The event brought together representatives from more than 35 primary and secondary schools in the region, providing a space to connect young people with higher education opportunities. Victoria Bravo, regional admissions manager and UIC’s international representative for the Southern Cone, accepted the award on behalf of the University.

During the fair, Bravo was also present at the UIC stand, where she offered assistance and advice to families and prospective students interested in learning more about the University’s academic programmes and study opportunities in Barcelona.

Ecuador, a strategic market for international promotion

Ecuador is one of UIC’s priority markets in Latin America, a strategic region for the University’s international promotion. Having a representative on the ground enables UIC to maintain direct contact with local schools and provide personalised support to students and their families throughout the various stages of the decision-making process.

For the Promotion and Admissions team, this work includes advising young people on their choice of degree programme, answering questions about admission requirements and the application process and guiding them through the practical aspects of moving to Spain. This close relationship with the local education community also helps build links with schools in the region and raise awareness of the educational opportunities available at UIC.

The “Ally for Talent 2026” award recognises these ongoing collaboration, guidance and support efforts, as well as the University’s contribution to promoting international talent and helping young people in Ecuador access new academic opportunities.
