Competences/Learning outcomes of the degree programme
- 12 - Understanding the foundations for action, the indications and efficacy of therapeutic interventions, based on available scientific evidence.
- 18 - To indicate the most appropriate (pharmacological, surgical, psychological, social or other) treatments that are pertinent to the most prevalent procedures, in terms of rehabilitation and also terminally ill patients, including an evaluation of their effectiveness.

Assessment, Academic Integrity and Examination Conduct Policy
Applicable to any assessable activity.
Conduct contrary to academic integrity, including the use of electronic devices, recording, the use of AI, etc.
Conduct that violates academic integrity may result in the annulment of the assessment, a failing grade for the activity or the course, and the loss of the right to retake the assessment. In addition, such conduct may lead to the initiation of the corresponding disciplinary proceedings. Such conduct will be sanctioned in accordance with the current regulations on student conduct and disciplinary procedures of the International University of Catalonia.
First Assessment PeriodContinuous assessment: 25% of the final grade.
Case resolution, written assignments, online activities, and class participation. Attendance is mandatory for at least 80% of the case-based learning sessions. This grade also includes attendance and participation in the compulsory laboratory practical sessions. The project accounts for 10% of the final grade, while the remaining continuous assessment activities account for 15%.
Midterm examination: 20% of the final grade.
Multiple-choice questions (90%) and short-answer questions (10%).
Final examination: 55% of the final grade.
Students must obtain at least 5/10 in the final examination for it to be averaged with the other assessment components. The content covered in the case discussions and other activities may also be included in the examination.
Second Assessment PeriodFinal examination.

Additional Assessment PeriodsStudents are not required to repeat the laboratory practical sessions or attend the case discussions again. However, repeat students who wish to attend must notify the course coordinator.
If a repeat student does not attend the theoretical classes and laboratory practical sessions, the final course grade will be the grade obtained in the final examination.
If a repeat student attends the theoretical classes and laboratory practical sessions, the final course grade will be calculated in the same way as for students taking the course for the first time.
